Hello, my name is Chaitanya Kumbhakonum. I come from a place called Hubli in Karnataka. I had developed a passion for films and interest in being a film maker since the age of 16. 
As a reason I decided to do my MBA in Media and Entertainment from Manipal University which also had an association with Whistling Woods

Work:
After graduating in 2012, I earned an internship in Anurag Kashyap films (AKFPL) in marketing but soon realised my passion is to make content not just to market it.

Assistant Director: Joined TVF in 2015, had an opportunity to work on some top rated Web series in India.
Worked as Second Assistant Director in "Pitchers"(IMDB ratings 9.3 and #45 at top rated tv shows on IMDB). Here I worked closely with an Associate Director on tight deadlines and also handled continuity and background on the set. After "PITCHERS", I worked as a 1st Assistant Director in "Permanent Roommates" Season 2, which is a second season of the India's first and also successful web series "Permanent Roommates " season 1. Here I worked closely with my Director across all the schedules of seven episodes. Making schedules and breakdowns and handling the entire set which had a big starcast was part of my fun job. Also worked on "Bisht,Please!" another web series from TVF. Here the job profile includes making schedules and Breakdown by working closely with the director and also handling an entire crew on the set.
Also assisted many independent sketches for TVF.

Associate Director:In the meanwhile I also worked for a Kannada feature film called "Srinivasa Kalyana" released in 2017 as an Associate Director, also was actively involved in writing process.

Director: I have now moved on to Direction, which I enjoy the most. Directed some Branded content for TVF'S another channel called Girliyapa with some of the gigh profile brands iNcluding PANTENE AND WHISPER to name a few.
Also directed non branded content which is also equally fun and also directed some celebrities like Tapsee Pannu, Saqib Salim, Srishti Srivastava , Sumukhi Suresh and Nidhi Bisht.

I enjoy my work as it's what I always wanted to do since I ever thought of doing something. So enjoy every bit of it. I also like working under deadlines as it brings more creative output under pressure, again that's just me.
